But this is NOT the kind of attitude you'd expect from a program designed to train servers how to sell and serve more vino...and that's exactly the point. Starwood Hotels realized that associates were intimidated by the stereotypical snobbery associated with the world of wine. So Broadstreet tapped down to earth superstar Sommelier Andrea Immer to help create a program that would teach a top-line understanding and improve bottom line results.

The perfectly blended program included an instructional/motivational video, a customizable wine list, classroom training aids and even temporary tattoos. After associates' knowledge and comfort levels were raised, a once intimidating process became almost as simple as selling and serving a Big Mac.
